Research for  Interactive EDUtainment™ Development

Virtual Reality (VR)

VR immerses users in a fully digital environment, enhancing learning and entertainment by providing interactive experiences that enable users to simulate a multitude of environments that replicate real world environments and potentially unreachable locations.

Augmented Reality (AR)

AR overlays digital information onto the physical world, enhancing understanding and retention by visualising complex concepts and procedures, in the immediate environment.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

AI uses data analysis to predict trends and find patterns, often acting as a virtual assistant by providing increased options and resources in the decision making process.

Why are we conducting this study?

As Mixed Reality (MR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies continue to evolve, their applications within education are expanding rapidly. Recognising this trend, Be SEEDsational aims to gauge educators' interest and prior experience with these emerging technologies. This research is essential for understanding how educators may perceive and engage with MR and AI, and identifying any room for added value in knowledge or productivity that may exist.

The insights gained from this study will be instrumental in enhancing our professional development courses, ensuring they are tailored to meet educators' needs and empowering them to inspire students. Furthermore, these insights will help encourage team building within teaching faculties, and help educators utilise emerging technology to enhance student curriculum engagement. By understanding their current familiarity and comfort levels with VR and AI, we can design more effective training programs that address specific challenges and leverage these technologies' potential in the classroom. Additionally, the findings will inform the content and structure of our workshops for early learning and primary school educators, providing more relevant and impactful learning experiences.

Overall, this study will support informed decision-making in educational institutions, highlighting the potential benefits and practical applications of VR and AI in teaching and learning. By inspiring educators to integrate these technologies into their practices, we aim to foster innovation in education and prepare students for a technology-driven future. This study represents a vital step in the process empowering educators to harness the full potential of Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence, ultimately hoping to enhance the quality of education.
